Crossett Experimental Forest Act of 2026
Summary:
• Requires the Secretary of Agriculture to convey the Crossett Experimental Forest (including the R.R. Reynolds Research Natural Area and associated facilities) to the State of Arkansas, if Arkansas submits a written request within 180 days of enactment
• The transfer is made without consideration (no payment) via quitclaim deed, with all conveyance costs (surveys, administrative) paid by Arkansas
• As a condition of the transfer, Arkansas must designate the land as "Crossett State Forest" and use it for forest research, education, and demonstration purposes in coordination with the University of Arkansas at Monticello and the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture
