• Amends the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to require additional information in environmental impact statements when a major Federal action involves the acquisition of private property (including through eminent domain)
• Agencies must estimate the acreage or other measure of private property anticipated to be acquired for both the proposed action and each alternative analyzed
• If a preferred alternative is identified, agencies must disclose whether it results in the least amount of private property acquisition and explain how public comments on property acquisition were considered
