• The "Halt Abusive Internet Lawsuits Act of 2026" bars any Federal or State claims or enforcement actions related to pen registers, wiretapping, trap and trace, or eavesdropping laws when information or communications are collected, processed, or disclosed for a commercial purpose
• The bill explicitly nullifies the California Invasion of Privacy Act as a basis for such claims, and immediately terminates any such claims or enforcement actions already in progress as of the bill's enactment date
