• Covered individuals are prohibited from negotiating or accepting agreements on behalf of the U.S. that directly financially benefit themselves, their spouses, close relatives, family members, agents, business partners, or affiliated organizations
• Violations can result in removal from the representative role, loss of security clearance eligibility, civil action referral to the Attorney General, fines, and up to one year imprisonment
