Public Access to HHS Health Data Act of 2026
Summary:
• Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to create a repository of all publicly available HHS data sets on opendata.hhs.gov within 1 year of enactment
• All data sets in the repository must be machine-readable, publicly accessible, free of charge, available for unrestricted use and reuse (including bulk access), and include associated metadata
• Requires the Secretary to submit annual reports to Congress detailing the number and types of data sets available, update frequency, and any constraints limiting publication of additional data sets
