Veterans’ Mental Health Access Act
Summary:
• Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to furnish inpatient mental health treatment (including for PTSD, depression, or substance abuse) to eligible veterans either at a VA medical center or through the Veterans Community Care Program
• Requires the Secretary to provide this covered care within 24 hours of a veteran's request or a health care provider's prescription
• Requires the Secretary to publish a report every six months on a VA website detailing wait times for veterans seeking this inpatient mental health care
