STOP Payments Fraud Act of 2026

• Amends the Expedited Funds Availability Act to allow depository institutions to delay funds availability for checks or wire transfers when they have reasonable suspicion of fraud, with initial holds not exceeding 10 days and extended holds not exceeding 45 days
