American Battlefield Protection Program Amendments Act of 2025
Summary:
• Amends the American Battlefield Protection Program to extend the Battlefield Acquisition Grant Program authorization from 2028 to 2035, and increases the federal cost-sharing percentage from 50% to 75% for both the Battlefield Interpretation Modernization and Battlefield Restoration Grant Programs
• Authorizes $2,000,000 per fiscal year through 2035 for the Battlefield Interpretation Modernization and Battlefield Restoration Grant Programs combined
• Directs the Secretary of the Interior to study and report to Congress within 2 years on historically significant sites related to the French and Indian War (1754–1763) and the Mexican-American War (1846–1848)
